Scholarship for GoldShirt Students

Celebrating Excellence in Hands-On Engineering

The ITL Program Scholarship for GoldShirt Students supports undergraduate GoldShirt scholars in the College of Engineering and Applied Science who show leadership potential, commitment to serving their engineering community, and dedication to hands-on learning.

Selected students will receive $2,750 a year to be applied to their tuition bill. Scholarships will be awarded for one academic year. If the student remains in good academic standing (a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA) they can reapply in subsequent years.

Scholarship Amount:

Recipients of this scholarship will be awarded $2,750 per academic year.

Eligibility:

  • Undergraduate Engineering Student
  • GoldShirt Scholar
  • 2.0 GPA minimum

(You do not need to be a US citizen to apply).

Application Timeline:

The application will accept submissions from Friday, April 7th -  Wednesday, May 31st at 11:59 pm MST. Review of applications begins in June and all applicants will receive an email notification to their CU email address in July indicating whether they have been offered a scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Selection Criteria:

The ITL Program's vision is to create a world where hands-on engineering experience prevails at all levels and types of education. The program values creating inclusive learning environments in which students have the opportunity to learn new technical and professional skills, collaborate effectively, and put their engineering theory into practice. Scholars are selected because they embody the following criteria. Please keep this criterion in mind as you answer the short answer questions:

  • Leadership potential
  • Commitment to serving their community
  • Dedication to hands-on engineering
  • Tenacity in their pursuit of their degree
